Highly-acclaimed monthly networking event touts milestone at New Life Hardwoods, Dallas Design District

DALLAS, TEXAS – March 12, 2014 – HPD Architecture, LLC, a leading architecture and interior design firm, recently celebrated the fifth year anniversary of its highly-acclaimed The Architecture Happy Hour monthly networking event. The special celebration was held at New Life Hardwoods in the Dallas Design District.

In 2010, HPD’s principals, Holly Hall, AIA, CAPS, Larry Paschall, AIA, and Laura Davis, AIA, pioneered The Architecture Happy Hour monthly networking event to bring together architects, interior designers, and various industry members interested in reaching out to the design community. Held at a different location each month, the group is focused on creating trusting business relationships in a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere. From 140 members at its launch, The Architecture Happy Hour has grown to 1,947 in membership. It is the 8th largest architecture and 6th largest interior design meet-up group in the world.[1]

In addition, HPD authors and hosts the audio podcast, The Architecture Happy Hour, an informal discussion about architecture for design professionals, clients, and architecture students available on iTunes. Currently, there are more than 65,000 worldwide subscribers to the podcast.

“We launched The Architecture Happy Hour to broaden our firm’s professional network,” said Davis, vice president, HPD. “Little did we know the impact this monthly event would have on the design community overall.”

“Playing a role in watching people connect with those they never would have met is a privilege for us,” added Davis.
