Architects Larry and Laura share tips for surviving architecture school.
Podcast Topics: architecture as a career
Laura Davis is a registered architect and interior designer in the state of Texas and Colorado, and a founding member of hpd architecture + interiors. Laura's extensive experience includes residential as well as commercial and retail projects. She also has a particular interest in restoration, holding a certificate in Historic Preservation. She is energized by the character of older homes and the stories of those who have lived there. Responding to the needs of the current owner, while also honoring the personality of the original home is a delicate process to be enjoyed.

Are architects born or made? That’s a good question. Many fellow architects we meet in our daily lives will admit to being fascinated with creating and building models from a young age. The longer one stays in the profession, the more fascinating it gets.
In this Architecture as a Career Podcast series we chat about our own journeys as well as ways to encourage budding baby architects and interns, as well as the challenges and triumphs that members of the profession experience.
